Jame$, born Nicholas Williams, was signed to the label on December 2012. His debut single, “All Gold Everything” charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B/Hip-Hop charts.

It was taken from his debut mix-tape, Don’t Be S.A.F.E.(Sensitive as F*ck Everyday), which was originally released July 31, 2012 and officially re-released along with the “All Gold Everything” music video on October 16, 2012.

In January, Def Jam Records released his breakthrough debut mixtape Don’t Be S.A.F.E to iTunes, which included the official remix of All Gold Everything featuring fellow Atlanta rappers T.I, Young Jeezy & 2 Chainz.

On August 6, 2013, he announced he would be releasing his second mix-tape ‘10 PC Mild’ on August 13, 2013. After months of not releasing the tape, James Tweeted the news of his being dropped by DefJam.

RCS SIDEBAR:  The quote “I hope u want dap cuz i got no money” has created quite a stir on social media!  Someone said it was Trinidad Jame$’ best bar ever!   I wish the young lad all the best.  He seems to be very optimistic about his future so that’s a good sign.
