Recently, RCS was in Milk River not Milk River, St Catherine, JA but Milk River restaurant and lounge Brooklyn USA for the album release launch of Shaggy’s new album, OUT OF MANY ONE MUSIC, a masterpiece collab produced by Jamaican celebrated musicians and producers Robbie (Bass) Shakespeare and Sly (Drum) Dunbar.
SHAGGY can throw a party. Does anyone remember the party he threw in the early 2000 to celebrate his 10 million sales and 6 time platinum sales, well the party held on September 24 will be one to remember. Shaggy has excellent collabos with Jamaican music royalty such as Beres Hammond, Morgan Heritage’s Peter Morgan Damian Marley, Tessanne Chin and others.
For those unfamiliar with Tessanne Chin, she is currently contestant on The Voice. In the middle of his album launch Shaggy stopped the music and all eyes were on the big screens while Tessanne, a daughter of the soil, sang her heart out and won the buzz of all 4 voice coaches Ceelo Green, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilara and Blake Shelton. You should have heard the cheers and roar of proud Jamaicans and Caribbeans. It was incredible as a woman of Jamaican heritage it brought tears to my eyes and the tears flowed when her father cried “my baby.”
After that the DJ played the Shaggy Tessanne collabo, de place mash up. Some of the dignitaries in attendance were Mr Vegas, the Honorable Una Clarke O, Her husband Mr Clarke and their daughter Congresswoman Yvette Clarke. At the party , Shaggy of course graced the mike and sang a couple of songs with Jimmy Cozier and Samira, also from this album. This album is a must have every track is great.
