‘Queen Of Soca’ Alison Hinds To Perform At VI Caribbean Catwalk Fashion Show In NYC

Celebrate Caribbean-American Heritage Month at the Second Annual Caribbean Catwalk, NYC 2013 Fashion Show, under the auspices of the Consul General of Barbados, the Honorable Lennox Price. This promises to be an affair to remember as top Caribbean fashion designers and models come together under one roof on Friday, June 28th at the Hotel Pennsylvania, located at 401
Seventh Avenue, New York, NY at 8:00 P.M. sharp. The “Caribbean Soca Queen,” Alison Hinds will be performing live.

Headlining the cadre of designers is eleven-years old Tyyan Williams who is of Trinidadian heritage. This trendy ‘tween’ prodigy is a rising star in the designing world, and has launched a line of clothing called Pinky Sez. Tyyan loves working with bold colors, satin, polka dots, stripes and big bows. She dreams some day of having her designs showcase on fashion runways around the world.

Other designers gracing the runway will be Francis Hendy, Contagious, Jewel Shannon Designs, Soft Lines, Khalils Hatitude, Gadol Designs, Chila For Fun, House of DMarsh, Todd Anthony Collection, Frisky Fashion, Thomas LaVone Designs, Caribbean H2O, Esroy, Cleopatra Designs, Berchell, Ejor Designs, Cole Facts, Leira By Ariel and John Ashford Shoes.

The show will open with a spectacular cultural costume display from the Virgin Islands JamBoree Mas, Inc. While Trinidadian Caprice Connors and Spindarella will be the shows’ co-hosts. Barbadian comedian Synck, whose work includes BET’s Comic View, Caroline’s and the Laff Factory will be on hand to entertain the audience with his unique brand of comedy.
