Gyptian’s New Album ‘Hold You’ Drops July 20

On Tuesday July 20 Gyptian, aka the Sexy Rasta, finally returns with the long awaited new album ‘Hold You‘. The album title which pays homage to Gyptians current mega hit “Hold You” has been killing the music charts since its release. Gyptian has been earning uber frequent flyer miles promoting his new album and Red Carpet Shelley has been trying to keep up! GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We caught up with the VERY sexy rasta at his Philadelphia album release party (see pictures below). Gyptian, much to the chagrin of the large-scale security guards, allowed just about every woman in attendance at the Luxe Lounge on stage with him. Gyptian definitely made some dreams come true on Saturday night! Gyppy even bus a whine pon a big girl (big girls buy albums too afterall!). Bwoy Gyptian, you too baaad!!!! (As per usual, if youre Yankee ask your Caribbean friends for the translation!)

Gyptian seems to have hit his stride musically and appears to be thoroughly enjoying each and every performance. I’ve seen him perform several times recently and I have to say that each show seems a little different that the other and Gyptian always seems to be having a good time with his fans.

Gyptian also seems to have found his niche as the “Sexy Rasta” and is capitalizing on his seemingly universal appeal with women. Hopefully, this will translate into album sales. Anyone with any knowledge of the reggae music industry knows that album sales have been abysmal at best. Gyptians album sales will be a litmus test for the new up-and-coming reggae artists. The new album Hold You contains 15 tracks and 2 iTunes exclusive tracks. This album introduces the World to the new era of Sexy Reggae Music. The next single thats slated to propel him further as a mainstream success is Nah Let Go. Gyptian proves that he is a master at creating memorable lyrics. One listen to the track and you will not forget it. Gyptian opens the door to his heart and lets everyone in on this album. So Much In Love and Drive Me Crazy expresses his passion for the opposite sex and what motivates his life-force. Gyptian is sexiness personified and his muse is the love he has for women.
