Bishop Eddie Long, pastor of the uber, mega church, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church stands accused of having sex with male members of his congregation. The two young men, Maurice Robinson and Anthony Flagg, were both of the age of consent under Georgia law so Biship Long is not being criminally charged however he is definitely being tried in the court of public opinion.
According to the lawsuit, “Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship”.
