Nancy Vuu’s Straight to Market Spring/Summer 17 Collection, was one word “beautiful”! The merchandise was actually ready to go “straight to market”. They were available for purchase upon request. Vuu, who is known as a luxury children’s wear and teen designer (kiddie couture as it is affectionately referred to as), has spread her wings this season and introduced her Women’s Collection on the New York Fashion Week runway.
Everything was coming up roses. Again we see the continuing trend of flowers as a theme for next Spring. The gowns from her women’s line were full and flowing. The prints reminded me of watercolor paintings and the vibrant hues were reminiscent of the summer. The styles were classic and gave a vibe of the 1930’s-50’s evening attire. They were even named after timeless women such as, Grace Kelly, Audrey, Jacqueline and Scarlett just to name a few.
The children’s collection was just as fabulous as well. This is Vuu’s area of expertise having four children herself and I’m sure she designs with them in mind. The details on the children’s and teen garments were very impressive. She kept the collection colorful, playful and whimsical. The fabrics were very luxurious, consisting of satins with floral appliques and payettes. You can tell that a lot of dedication went into this collection because the results are outstanding!
