Nevis Culturama 2012 was, as usual, a beautiful display of musical talent, costume and masquerade mastery, great tasting foods and a overall a great display of Caribbean Culture. This year’s theme ““Our Identity, Our Survival” was very poignant as the region deals with with global economic recession.
Culturama festivities went off without a hitch which was not lost on Nevis’ Premier Hon. Joseph Parry:
“This year’s Culturama was incident-free, the attendance was extremely well, and the shows were of top quality,” the Premier said.

As many of my readers know, Nevis is my ancestral home so I have a heartfelt affinity for Nevis and her people. The next time you’re thinking about taking a trip think of Nevis…its heaven on earth! And while you’re there check out of some my favorite picks: the beach at Oaulie Hotel, Sunshine’s Restaurant (everything tastes better with a Killer Bee!), and if you want to have a great lime, check out LIME!
