Jah9 The Roots Reggae Performing Artist— ‘CONCERT IN THE VILLAGE’ where patrons of all ages will experience deeply mystical Jah9 who has emerged from a chrysalis of poetry, dub and spirit to become a powerful femiNINE energy within a universal grassroots movement of consciousness. Inspired by the open spaces in the instrumental dub of 1970’s Jamaican roots music, Jah9 sings with a voice that belies the dimensions of her physical body, from a soul much older than its current vessel; “reminiscent of that darkly operatic wailer for truth & justice, Nina Simone.” Her philosophy–profoundly spiritual, and her style–Jazz on Dub.

#Jah9 has been known to compel her audiences during her live set to pause, breathe deeply and feel empowered. She opens minds and soaks them in knowledge and positivity she calls ‘Yoga on Dub’ which will also be the pre-show event for her #Bobfest performance in #Atlanta.

Jah9’s new single “Feel Good” is now available for streaming and download everywhere. The song which premiered on YouTube and Soundcloud was released commercially on Friday January 26th. Produced by Clive Hunt, “Feel Good” is a soulful track that introduces a new sound to the reggae roots and dub songstress who is currently working on a full-length album following 2016’s “9”.

“Breathe deep. Nourish yourself. Stretch your muscles. Rejuvenate your mind. Stay hydrated… seemingly simple things can make all the difference in the quality of your day to day. The revolution must happen within first.” ~Jah9

Opening acts will be the ardent student of the culture, SaRoc known for her fiery lyrics peppered with themes of spiritual evolution, social injustice, and messages of empowerment. Also opening All Woman Reggae Band Sol Rizing.
