Gramps Morgan Donating Partial Proceeds from "Life Too Short" to Trayvon Martin's family

Big Ups to Gramps Morgan!  The Royal Family of Reggae member, Gramps Morgan, is taking a public stand of solidarity by deciding to donate a portion of the proceeds from the iTunes sales his new single “Life too Short” to the Trayvon Martin Foundation.

Gramps Morgan Donating Partial Proceeds from "Life Too Short" to Trayvon Martin's family

The single Life Too Short was penned with his brother Peetah Morgan and was co-produced by Gramps Morgan and keyboardist Llamar ‘Riff Raff’ Brown.

“When I wrote Life Too Short I wanted to heal peoples life and give them a sense to know that they should enjoy their life and know we only have a small time on this planet. I read that Trayvon loved reggae music, so donating a portion of the proceeds to the Trayvon Martin Foundation is my contribution to keeping his memory alive,” Morgan told THE WEEKEND STAR.

The senseless killing of Trayvon Martin on February 26 by a bigotted, neighborhood vigilante has captured the attention of America and has polarized the nation as the killer, George Zimmerman, remains a free man.  Gramps Morgan not unlike many of us probably felt very helpless but unlike many of us he is taking real action.   Donating to Trayvon’s family will help them to continue to fight for “Justice for Trayvon”.

I applaud Gramps Morgan for this bold move.   This is the definition of giving back and reppin’ for Rastarfi!   Click here to purchase “Life Too Short”  on iTunes.  Album is due out on April 24th!
