The 14th Annual Grace Atlanta Caribbean Jerk Festival is an annual celebration of Caribbean food, music and culture. Each year the event features live reggae, soca, and gospel performances by local, national and international acts on the festival main stage. Despite the recent untimely passing of its founder, Glen Simmonds, this staple annual Atlanta Caribbean event will take place as planned on Sunday, September 1, 2019.

As Atlanta and the Caribbean Diaspora mourns Glen Simmonds, affectionately known to everyone as the “Reggae Ambassador”, it is expected this year’s turnout will be huge with those wanting to come out and show their respect, love and support for Glen Simmonds and his family.

Featured performers for 2019 include Grammy nominated reggae star Freddie McGregor and reggae super group L.U.S.T. comprised of singers Lukie D, Thriller U, Singing Melody and Tony Curtis. Atlanta Jerk Fest 2019 will also feature one of the Caribbean’s most dynamic gospel artists Kevin Downswell as well as soca hit-maker Rupee and international DJ Mixmaster David.

Please note that this year’s event will take place at a new venue, the Dekalb Southeast Athletic Complex located at 5845 Hillvale Road, Lithonia GA 30058. Come For The Food! Stay For The Fun!  Visit atlantajerkfestival.com for tickets and more information.
