JAZ ELISE REVEALS INTIMATE 3-SONG PERFORMANCE VIDEO

CELEBRATING ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF HER DEBUT EP

Rising Jamaican Star Performs Mar 18 at SXSW Music Festival

Ahead of her SXSW showcase, the Jamaican R&B upcomer Jaz Elise delivers a mesmerizing 3-song video performance from her debut EP The Golden Hour, approximately one year since its release on March 5, 2021.

Entitled The Golden Hour Sound System Session, she kicks off with “Good Over Evil,” a salute to her Jamaican roots. Then, rising Jamaican vocalist Mortimer joins her for a spine-tingling rendition of their passionate song “After 3,” and she closes with the energetic pop-fused single “Radio.” Sounds are provided by DJ Stamma and the visual is directed by Adrian Campbell.

This virtual performance is a sneak peek of what spectators can expect from her official SXSW debut. She will perform tomorrow, Fri. Mar. 18 at the Island Wave showcase, which features the next generation of innovative Caribbean talent. Her set time is 8:45pm – 9:15pm CT. For more details visit here.

JAZ ELISE

Born Jasmine Taylor in Kingston, Jamaica, Jaz Elise’s first introduction to music was singing in the church choir as a young child. Her father, a gospel musician, laid the foundation for Jaz’s musical aspirations. In 2020, Jaz Elise joined In.Digg.Nation Collective’s roster, the record label and management company founded by Grammy-nominated artist Protoje. With only a handful of songs in her repertoire (including her hit song “Fresh & Clean” feat Govana) and an undeniable knack for fusing soul, R&B, reggae and dancehall, the aspiring singer stepped into the spotlight in 2021 with her debut EP The Golden Hour.
