Vybz Kartel has finally been offered bail. Bail in in the amount of $3,000,000 JMD (approx. $35,000 USD). Is it me or does this number seem ridiculously LOWBALL! I’m assuming Vybz has this money in his back pocket and will be out jail ASAP! Don’t get too excited though my Gaza peeps, Vybz Kartel nee Adidjah Palmer will have to surrender all travel documents, be subject to a curfew and report to police daily. Furthermore, he is still facing murder charges in another case.
Yesterday’s bail offer was in relation to the murder in July of Barrington ‘Bossie’ Bryan in Gregory Park, St Catherine, Jamaica. Kartel is also facing charges of conspiracy to murder, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of ganja stemming from the same incident.
Today, Vybz Kartel and co-defendants, deejay Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell; fashion designer Calvin Haye; and Cayro Jones are expected to have bail applications filed on their behalf. Today’s expected bail application would be in relation to the August 16 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
