Recently, the Urban League of Greater Atlanta honored actress and singer Keke Palmer during an event at the Twelve Hotel at Atlantic Station.
Palmer, known for her starring role in “Akeelah and the Bee” as well as roles in “Madea’s Family Reunion,” “Joyful Noise” and “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story,” will receive the Spirit of the League award.

Other honorees included Jovan Gay, Rontavious Stovall, Adrecus Culbreath, Hancy Aldeclat and Domence Flannigan. Channel 2 Action News reporter Erica Byfield will serve as emcee, and the teen jazz band Fusion and the Tri-Cities High School band will perform.
