Top Model Eva and Actor Lance Gross Part Ways

Just five months before their July 17th wedding, America’s Next Top Model winner and’The Youngand The Restless’actress Eva Marcille has split with fellow actor and fiance’Lance Gross House of Payne and ‘Our Family Wedding’.

In a statement issued Wednesday, March 24 a representative for Marcille, formerly Eva Pigford,confirmed the break up, stating “Lance Gross and Eva Marcille have mutually decided to end their relationship. The split is completely amicable.” Okay lets talk about the elephant in the roomwhats with the name change for Eva. I had to wonder if she was in some sort of Top Model Protection Program. Is this a program protecting former Top Model alums from getting work? There has been speculation that her name wasnt glamorous enough and the pig in the first part of her last name has led to all sorts of jokes and comments. Can you say oink oink?

Entertainment bloggers speculated last month the break up was due to an alleged argument they had at SuperBowl XLIV weekend in Miami.

Marcille, a regular on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS), was featured on the TV One series ‘Life After’ in 2009, chronicling her journey from America’s Next Top Model winner to actress.

Gross, long associated with Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, starred alongside Carlos Mencia and Forest Whitaker in “Our Family Wedding”. He also appeared in Tyler Perry’s motion picture “Meet The Browns,’ alongside Angela Bassett. One might wonder is this a publicity stunt to bring some attention to Gross with his new movie coming out on April 16^th and new season of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne? Either way, it really is a house of Payne.
