Saving OurSelves – Help for Haiti Telethon took place Friday in Miami, Florida at the American Airlines Arena. The star-studded event hosted by Queen Latifah, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Pharrell was held to benefit charities including Wyclef Jeans Yele Haiti foundation, as well as CARE, Project Medishare and Childrens Safe Drinking Water. It was phenomenal show and even included a Presidential visit! I was simply awestruck at the abundance of outpouring of love to help Haiti and the celebrity star power was second to none.
Celebrities on hand included hosts: Sean “Diddy” Combs, Queen Latifah, Pharrell and appearances/performances by Wyclef Jean, Chris Brown, Damian Marley, Nas, Mary J. .Blige, Sean Kingston, Justin Beiber, Monica, Robin Thicke, Busta Rhymes, Gloria Estefan, Serena Williams, Ludacris, Ricky Smiley, and, of course even a President dropped by! My favorite performance for the night went to Chris Breezy! His voice was crystal and his performance was emotionally charged! He’s trying to come back and he’s off to a great start so far.
