Cuban international music sensation Pitbull will conduct a special on-field music performance, presented by Budweiser, at Citi Field prior to the 2013 Home Run Derby on July 15th airing on ESPN beginning at 8:00pm Eastern as part of MLB All-Star Week. The following night, American Idol winner Candice Glover will perform the National Anthem and two-time Grammy Award winner Marc Anthony will sing God Bless America during the seventh inning at the 2013 MLB All-Star Game on FOX.

Pitbull’s special on-field performance, presented by Budweiser, will first feature “Don’t Stop the Party” on MLB Network at approximately 7:55pm Eastern, wrapping up MLB Network’s live on-field coverage of batting practice. That will be followed by “Feel This Moment” off of the new album Global Warming, which will air on ESPN prior to the start of the Chevrolet Home Run Derby. David Wright of the New York Mets and Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees have been named captains of the National League and American League squads for the Derby. The Chevrolet Home Run Derby, part of Gatorade All-Star Workout Day, will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN HD, ESPN Deportes and ESPN Radio in the United States.

Glover will perform the National Anthem during a special on-field ceremony to honor the winners from the MLB and ‘PEOPLE’ magazine “Tribute for Heroes” campaign, a national initiative that recognizes veterans and military service members and builds upon both the commitment of MLB and ‘PEOPLE’ magazine to honoring our country’s heroes. The “Tribute For Heroes” winners will be announced on July 10th.

The 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert benefiting Sandy Relief will star Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic with special guest appearance by multiple Grammy Award winner Mariah Carey on Saturday, July 13th, three days in advance of the All-Star Game. The concert, which will be free to fans but requires each attendee to have a ticket, will take place on the iconic Great Lawn at Central Park on July 13th beginning at 7:30PM. With her coronation song “I Am Beautiful” entering the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Songs chart at number five, the 23-year-old is now set to release a debut album that brings her rich voice and stirring delivery to a bold mix of soul, pop, and R&B. Music Speaks (19 Recordings/Interscope Records) is due out October 8th.

Marc Anthony has sold over 12 million albums worldwide, making him one of the most influential artists of his time and a true ambassador of Latin music and culture. In April 2013, his brand new single “Vivir Mi Vida” produced by Marc and Sergio George, occupied the #1 position on Itunes just hours after its release. The new single gained even more success this past weekend becoming the longest running salsa track in the last decade, the longest running #1 pure salsa version in history and the longest salsa hit since 2000’s in the Billboard charts and radio on a national level. Anthony has been awarded countless Standard gold and platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
