Project Runway Alum Leanne Marshall presented her Spring/Summer 2017 Runway Show recently at New York Fashion Week. Fashion influencers, reality TV stars, entertainers, and notable faces of Instagram fame took their seats in the coveted front rows of the crowded Leanne Marshall Spring/Summer 2017 runway show, while everybody else got in where they fit in!
Among those spotted were singer Madison Beer, Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui, “Teen Wolf” star Arden Cho, Miss New York 2016 Nicole Kulovany, WWE wrestler Summer Rae, “Real Housewives of Dallas” stars Stephanie Hollman and Cary Deuber, and “The Americans” star Holly Taylor.
The excitement in the air was thick enough to cut with a knife as everyone eagerly awaited the unveiling of the new line. Since Leanne Marshall’s Season 5 win on “Project Runway, she has continued to build on her reputation for elegance refined with light, flowing, delicate details and feminine grace.
Marshall’s collection featured light colored, breezy fabrics, sheer crop tops and loose-fitting dresses. She paired the looks with nude sandals. Her inspiration for this collection revolved around crystals and their healing energy, which translated seamlessly from her vision onto the runway.
Her collection of well-constructed and understated sheer chiffon silks set the tone for the ambient atmosphere of the show. Hues of pale blue and rose and off-white paired well together and added to the classy elegance of her line.
With most of the models walking similar cohesive looks, a few pieces from the collection managed to catch the eye; one being a two-toned rose and lavender silk gown, and the other a sheer blue silk chiffon gown outfitted with small silk details.
Marshall’s S/S 2017 collection truly adds to the building of her brand and aesthetic of ultra-feminity and understated beauty, although it could have stood out more among the other spectacles of Fashion Week.
