The 83rd Annual Academy Awards is now behind us (thank God it was the most boring ever!) and, of course, Red Carpet Shelley has the red carpet fashion winners and losers. There were many beautiful looks on the red carpet yesterday but my top RCS honor goes to Halle Berry with Gwyneth Paltrow as a runner up. Halle Berry wore a form fitting nude corsette Marchesa gown. Halle looked simply gorgeous! This is how a Hollywood starlet is supposed to do it.
Gwyneth Paltrow looked stunning in a Calvin Klein silver number. The dress was not your typical Oscars gown but she was a perfomer not a nominee and the dress was spot on. I loved the clean lines and chic silouhette. The shoes were even spot on – kudos to Gwyneth! Honorable mention to Celine Dion! Shout out to Anne Hathaway who wore the best shoes of the night when she sang in the tuxedo. The shoes were fiya!
Now, for the not-so-good-news! I hate to say this because I usually love her but Nicole Kidman was a mess from head to toe. The Dior Couture dress was embellished with crystal pattern designs which were hideous. The dress color washed Nicole out, her hair was not red carpet ready, her jewelry was wrong and then to top it off red shoes!!!!! Hated it. I did however love her sexy azz hubby Keith Urban. He wins for best red carpet hubby!!!
Second runner up for worst dressed Mila Kunis in Elie Saab. The flowy lace number was just to grannyish for such a young Hollywood starlet. Also dishonorable mention to Reese Witherspoon looking like a Barbie doll with that phony pony. Did not like the look at all.
