Hats off, kudos, ruguspec and a PINK biggup for hip hop’s leading lady Ms. Onika Tanya Maraj aka Nicki Minaj. Minaj is the only female to make the Forbes List of ‘Hip Hop’s Wealthiest Artists”.
The Trinidadian-born hip hop queen is no stranger to being a female trailblazer. Minaj was the first female artist included on MTV’s Annual Hottest MC List, with The New York Times‘s editor Brent Staples saying that some consider her “the most influential female rapper of all time”. In April 2013, Minaj became the most-charted female rapper in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.
And who cares about record sales, a lot of Nicki Minaj’s money comes from her varied endorsement deals which have included Adidas, MAC Cosmetics and Pepsi to name a few. Minaj has proven herself to be a Caribbean boss with multiple streams of revenue and that’s how you make it onto the Forbes list baby!
Congrats Nicki!
