Following the tragic 7.0 earthquake that hit the Caribbean island of Haiti, A-listers the world over have come together for the “Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” telethon. Celebrities currently expected to participate include: Bruce Springsteen, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Bono, Shakira Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and the list goes on…

Hearthtrob George Clooney will be hosting from Los Angeles, while Wyclef Jean will be manning the New York desk and Anderson Cooper will provide telethon coverage from Haiti. Performing from London will be Jay-Z along with Bono, The Edge and Rihanna in a special joint performance. Coldplay is also set to perform from London. New York appearances include Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, and Sting. In Los Angeles, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow are set to do a collabo. Also set to perform in Los Angeles are Justin Timberlake, Dave Matthews, John Legend, and Stevie Wonder.

Performances from the show can be purchased on iTunes for 99 cents beginning on Saturday, January 23. The “Hope for Haiti” benefit will be televised on all the major networks commercial free at 8 p.m. EST (0100 GMT), as well as MTV, VH1, CMT, BET, PBS, CNN, Bravo, and a host of other networks. In addition, the telethon will be streamed live on Web sites including YouTube, MySpace and AOL.. All proceeds will go toward Haiti relief efforts through the following organizations: Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF and Wyclef’s Yele Haiti foundation.
