Blakness Releases 'Insidez' Music Video

New Video Goes In on Queen Elizabeth, Rush Limbaugh and Others

Longtime backup singer Blakness is stepping into the spotlight, but not without stirring up controversy in her debut music video.

The Virgin Islands songstress (born Emogen Creese) in collaboration with Andrew Bassie Records and Aqua Media released “Insidez” off her self-titled EP. The music video does not hold back, attacking everyone from Queen Elizabeth to Rush Limbaugh.

“Twelve families elude the masses – century after century – through paganism, war mongering, hatred, and idolatry,” Blakness sings.

Shot on-location in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Blakness appears before a classroom giving a fiery lecture about the real “insidez” of some of world’s most powerful figures throughout time.

The video was directed and produced by the award-winning production team, Aqua Media. While the track was done by Jamaican producer Andrew “Bassie Campbell, whose previous credits include Anthony B., Glen Washington, Midnite and many more.

Blakness is no stranger to reggae. Before stepping onto her first solo project, she has backed up many artists including, I-Octane, Perfect Giddimani, and others.
