The Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association, Inc (ACCBA), organizers of the Official Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, announced today their annual press conference to provide information on the carnival parade route, festival village and events surrounding the 2012 Atlanta Caribbean Carnival. There will also be a showcasing of masquerade bands costumes, and recognition of diverse community leaders who are instrumental in progressing the understanding, awareness, and support of Caribbean Arts and Culture.
This event will serve to illustrate the depth of the significance of the Atlanta Caribbean Carnivals theme: ATLANTA CARNIVAL IS MAS AND MUSIC Celebrating 24 Years. ACCBA will also recognize the contributions of select elected officials, most notably Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Atlanta City Council Member Kwanza Hall, representing District 2. The press conference will also recognize the selected Grand Marshall for the Parade of Bands taking place May 26, 2012.
