In a raw and authentic performance Anthony B bared his soul to a packed house in Brooklyn, New York at Galapagos Art Space presented by One Mic Artistic Movement. The veteran reggae crooner performed songs like ‘Give Praises’, ‘Raid the Barn’ and ‘Crazy Life (Broken Dreams)’. Performing with an acoustic ensemble that included a keyboard and guitar his performance was stellar to say the least.
The rawness of his performance allowed the audience to appreciate the lyrics and relate to his message on a personal level. The Rastafarian artist paid homage to great men like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Marcus Garvey by singing the legendary John Lennon’s infamous song “Imagine”. He even asked the young folks in song to “…imagine there was no Facebook, Twitter or iPhone”.
Truly a trailblazer in the reggae music industry, he exhibited tremendous passion for social injustice and people suffering from poverty. As usual, he had his dreadlocks wrapped up with a regal swag! One Mic Artistic Movement is a must get to performance circuit of reggae music artists that perform locally in New York and Jamaica.
