The 37th Annual American Music Awards went down last night. There was good bad and ugly (as usual). The good Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performing Empire State of Mind! Also, my girls Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson (Hammer pants notwithstanding!) Whitney’s performance was simply soul stirring — it moved country singer Reba McEntire to tears. Other notable performances: Lady Gaga! Whether you like her or not her performances are always memorable. Now that we’re done with the good, how about the bad! What was up with J Lo? Someone tweeted that her outfit was She by Sheree! And, then during her boxing match set she got knocked down (ok, she fell down)!!!! She got up fast though – if you blinked you missed it. Ok, now the ugly – Adam Lambert – there’s so much bad and ugly here that I’m going to leave it alone but my guess is that he won’t be back for an encore next year — nasty, nasty, nasty!
