Popular artists Tarrus Riley, Cherine, Di Blue Print Band will use their talents to Water the Roots at The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, 1 Arthur Wint on Saturday May 25, 2013 beginning at 7:00 pm.
Water the Roots is the first in a series of fund raising events to be staged at the college. All proceeds will go towards the improvement of the college facilities and the development of an endowment fund for present and prospective students. This staging of the Water the Roots Concert aims to raise 10 million Jamaican dollars to improve the perimeter fencing from Arthur Wint to Alexander Road to include Oxford Road and to re-design the entrance and exit gates to give a more artistic edge to the overall aesthetics of the College.
In addition to the established international acts, “Water the Roots” will showcase current and past students of the EMCVPA.
Tickets are available at the College for a total of J$2,500.00 at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.
