The Human Beat Box Doug E. Fresh, Kerwin Du Bois and Gramps Morgan join star-studded line-up in St. Maarten
Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter, rapper and record producer T-Pain will headline TEMPO Networks’ seventh anniversary week long celebrations in St. Maarten.

The glittering celebrations which will feature musical stars from the region and the United States get underway in the Dutch Caribbean on November 25, 2012.
Organizers announced T-Pain, who is one of today’s most recognizable voices and has influenced many top hit songs, will close the curtain on the “I AM TEMPO – Caribbean Rising” finale concert on Saturday, December 1, at Festival Village
“TEMPO Turns 7 in St. Maarten is going down. Can’t wait to hit the stage!” the star said to nearly a million Twitter followers and seven million Facebook fans. T-Pain has collaborated with the likes of Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift and Chris Brown.
The 28-year-old, Tallahassee native has received several of the music industry’s top honors, including two Grammy Awards – for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or a Group for “Blame It” with Jamie Foxx, and for Best Rap Song, “Good Life” with Kanye West. He has also won a People’s Choice Award, three BET Awards, six BMI songwriting and production awards and a Teen Choice Award.
T-Pain has sold more than 12 million singles as a lead artist and 32 million singles as a featured guest artist, ranking him as one of the most downloaded artists of all time, with 18 songs enjoying more than a million downloads.
Sharing the stage at the finale concert are Trinidad and Tobago’s soca sensation Kerwin Du Bois, famous for his 2012 hit song “Bacchanalist”, and reggae star Gramps Morgan of the Morgan Heritage family.
They will be joined by top St. Maarten musicians Percy Ranking, The Red Eye Crew, Shadowman, Reno, Oddysey, Dread-I and The Mighty Dow.
Frederick Morton’s (“Mr. TEMPO”) All-White Party to be held on Thursday November 29, will be hosted by one of the pioneers of Hip Hop, none other than The Human Beat Box Doug E. Fresh. Partnering with Laser 101.1 FM, Mr. TEMPO will give away a trip to a LIAT destination to a lucky lady and her guest at the All-White Party, as well as tickets to Friday night’s “GIRL POWER” to the first 101 ladies to enter the party.
Friday’s “GIRL POWER” will be headlined by soca queens Alison Hinds and Denise Belfon and include Barbadian soca star Edwin Yearwood, Trinidadians Ziggy Ranking, Chucky Gordon and Young Devyn; as well as top local acts Timo, Mr. Ruffy, the 4M and Impact bands.
The Queen of Reggae Music, Marcia Griffiths will perform at the Rise & Shine Opening Ceremonies on Sunday, November 25, while the undisputed Calypso King of the World, The Mighty Sparrow, will croon at the “NEVER TOO OLD TO TEMPO” celebration for seniors on Wednesday, November 28.
