During a live ‘Ask Me Anything’ (AMA) on Reddit.com, the rapper turned Rasta, Snoop Dogg Lion answered many questions.

Snoop Lion

The question and answer session gave his fans much insight into the mule-platinum recording artist.  For instance, we all know that Snoop Lion isn’t shy about his consumption of the herbs (shall we say?) however it was still a shocker that he admits to smoking 81 blunts per day…RAHTID!!!

Here is some of my favorite banter from the session:

On average, how much do you smoke in a week?
SNOOP LION:   81 blunts a day x 7

Do you believe in the taxation of Mary Jane with legalization, or would you prefer to see it have little to no taxes ?
SNOOP LION:  Legalize it n if that means tax it then do it

What is the best memory you have whilst recording your songs? Huge fan here!

What do you appreciate the most now that you have fame and fortune that you didn’t have when you started out in the streets?
SNOOP LION:  my kids n bein able to be there for them

Hiya Snoop, how’s the whole new reggae direction going for you?
SNOOP LION:  FEels good! Tha Spirit got me

Over this summer, Snoop traveled to Jamaica for a recording session and experienced a spiritual rebirth of sorts.  Thereafter, Snoop made the decision to transform himself from Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion.

“I didn’t want to be Snoop Dogg on a reggae track. I wanted to bury Snoop Dogg and become Snoop Lion, but I didn’t know that until I went to the temple and received the name Snoop Lion from the Nyabinghi priest,”

“I have always said I was Bob Marley reincarnated,” the rapper said, according to The New York Times. “I feel I have always been a Rastafari. I just didn’t have my third eye open, but it’s wide open right now.”

The track “Here Comes the King” features Angela Hunte and is executive produced by Major Lazer.  It is WIKID and I’m totally feeling this Snoop Lion coming out party!  Personally, I can’t wait to hear the entire Snoop LIon reggae album “Reincarnated” and I’m hoping there’s a remix of Peter Tosh’s classic “Legalize It”!!  The album drops on iTunes 12/18.   Need that interview Snoop Lion!  Get at your girl!
