The Gully God himself, dancehall superstar, Mavado was found guilty of assault and causing grievous bodily arm when he appeared in the Montego Bay Registrate Magistrate Court on Monday May 7, 2012 and fined $100,000 or six months.
He was fined $80,000 or six months on the charge of assault and another $20,000 or six months for malicious destruction of property.
Mavado, who’s given name is David Brooks, was on trial for malicious destruction of property, following an incident last year in the Belmont, St James. He was accused of being part of a group that attacked two men following a motor vehicle accident.
