Musician Wyclef Jean is home resting following his recent hospitalization on Monday, September 27, after suffering from “Stress and Fatigue.” A rep for the jean issued a statement, revealing “He has already been released and is at home recuperating.”
“He will be back to work in about a week, and until then the family requests that he be allowed to genuinely rest,” publicist Marian Salzman stated.
Jeans family has also released a statement concerning the former The Fugees star’s health status.
“Wyclef Jean has had an extremely grueling three months – truly an exhausting eight months, since the earthquake when he recommitted himself to our homeland and his passion for our people,” the statement read, referring to his Haiti’s Presidential run which he dropped on September 21.
“He is currently suffering the effects of lack of sleep and stress, global travel, even the endless public eye, and has asked that his fans and supporters bear with him for the next several days as he regains his physical health and stamina,” the statement further revealed. Once he regains his health, Jean “will be back out in front of the crusade to rebuild Haiti.”
The news of Jeans hospitalization came following a message posted on his Twitter page on Sunday. The tweet read, “Information from an inside source has confirmed @wyclef has been hospitalized due to Stress and Fatigue.”
