Atlanta’s “station for progressive information” WRFG 89.3FM Atlanta and (my personal radio home) has been broadcasting for 40 years and counting. To commemorate this huge accomplishment, WRFG will host a Birthday Block Party which will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM on the grounds of the Little Five Points Community Center (corner Austin and Euclid Avenues).
This annual event is always a great opportunity for the community to come out and meet their favorite on-air hosts and WRFG staff members. Its also an opportunity to enjoy a great day filled with music, dance, food, poetry, children s activities and vendors of all kinds.
