Award-winning Virgin Islands born filmmaker John P. Wheatley is taking action to help Virgin Islanders impacted by Hurricane Irma. Wheatley has started a USVI Hurricane Irma Relief Fund on Go Fund Me to raise funds to aid in the massive relief efforts that will follow..

Community outreach is nothing new for me. I have been involved with speaking to high risk youth, I have lead initiatives providing clothes for The Atlanta Mission and I’m at the helm of feeding countless of homeless women outside the Atlanta Women’s Day Shelter on a consistent basis. Most recently I’ve provided dozens of pre-filled back packs for kids in the Virgin Islands for a 2017 back to school drive. I’m not saying this to brag, I’m saying this to let you know this is who I am 24/7.

As many of you know, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands is my birthplace so I have a vested interested in the Caribbean.  Anything you can do to help out will be greatly appreciated.  Please support, tag a friend and share!  I will also be sharing relief and fund raising efforts for other islands in the Caribbean impacted by Hurricane Irma.
