The Virgin Islands Carnival Committee will highlight the talent of some of the territory’s most talented pre-teen girls during the Carnival 2013 Princess Selection Show.

Members of the VICC Board of Directors voted to change from the normal “Prince & Princes Selection Show” to a “Princess Selections Show” after meeting with the Prince & Princess Subcommittee Chairperson Diana Spiver Dowe on Tuesday (04 Dec 2012). Dowe reported to the VICC Executive Board that several prospective Princesses are ready to go, but the search for little boys to participate is not going as well.

Recognizing the need for the planning and preparation for the show to begin right away, the VICC Executive Board agreed to change to a Princess event.

Applications for the 2013 Princess Selection Show are available for pick up from the Virgin Islands Carnival Committee’s office located across from the Department of Finance.

The Committee is encouraging community groups and schools to send their best, brightest and most-talented to vie for the title of Princess for Carnival 2013.

Applications can be picked up between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and must be completed and returned no later than December 7, 2012.

For more information contact the Carnival Committee’s office at 340-776-3112 or Diana Dowe at 340-998-4350.
