Big up to Bajan pop princess Rihanna! Repping for Barbados and the Caribbean in a big way when she received the first ever AMA Icon Award. I just love hearing the Bajan accent on center stage at such an auspicious event. And I also love that Rihanna never leaves out Barbados or tries to camouflage her accent. Kudos to Rihanna for this well-deserved recognition!
Big up to Mama Fenty! Monica Braithwaite (aka Mama Fenty) did what any good Caribbean woman would do first at such an occasion and that was to give honor to God and her savior Jesus Christ. That’s what I’m talking about.
