History was made last night as the 2013 BET Awards staged a complete dancehall reggae set. Jabba from Massive B introduced the set with Dawn Penn leading the way with “No, No No”. She was followed by Chaka Demus and, of course, Beenie and the “Energy God” Elephant Man shell down di place!
As Beenie Man and Elephant Man approached me on the BET red carpet, I couldnt wait to ask what they would be doing as I had no clue. They were both close-lipped and offered me no insight on their surprise performance last night. Yes, it was all a big, huge surprise!
It was AWESOME to see my peeps on the BET Awards stage. BET said “anything can happen” and indeed it did! Big tings when you see Nicki Minaj wining up and bussin a blank pon national television!
