UK reggae crooner, Randy Valentine recently visited Sirius XM in New York City for a private acoustic performance. The multi-talented, versatile singer song-writer/producer hails from the tropical Isle of Jamaica and is currently under the umbrella of HEMP HIGHER Productions and J.O.A.T (Jack of All Tradez).
Valentine also goes by the moniker ‘RV’ and the ladies just cant get enough of him. Valentine who also hails from Croydon, UK describes his musical influences as Sam Cooke, Chronixx and Tracy Chapman to name a few.
RANDY VALENTINE’s career has been growing from strength to strength since the release of his successful mixtape “Bring Back the Love”. Europe’s New Reggae sensation has been spreading his music all over the continent. RV started his international career by supporting one of Jamaica’s biggest artist *BUSY SIGNAL* on his tour in Gambia and opened up for DEMARCO during his 7 show tour in Switzerland.
Citing ‘the foundation’ music as one of his main sources of inspiration, RV released a classic reggae mixtape, where he sang over 13 tracks-all built upon classic STUDIO ONE Riddims, such as “*Stalag Riddim*”, “Bobby Babylon Riddim”, “Lecturer Riddim” and more…
“Nuff sell out them soul, fi get radio play”- Randy bore his soul on every track on his ‘*Bring Back the Love” *mix-tape and its title track is being played on major radio stations both in the UK and abroad.
In 2011 he featured on a number of songs with Africa’s hottest artists RUFF N SMOOTH and toured with the duo up and down the UK. More recently Randy Valentine has worked with major international producers and is featured on Major Lazer’s new album with a single titled “Roll Base”. This year sees Randy embark on a new adventure with a new EP titled “Still Pushing” produced by Joe Ariwa, son of Mad Professor. Currently promoting the EP Randy Valentine is definitely an artist to look out for.
