I have to admit I have a wicked love of reality TV and was beside myself with anticipation for the season finale of “Basketball Wives”. It was just as I expected juicy, salacious and culminating in a fight over a man! As much as I hate to admit it, I loved it!!! Without a doubt, VH1 saved the best for last when Tami “Queen of Real” Roman whooped up on Evelyn Lozada for sleeping with her ex-hubby Kenny Anderson (check out the video!).
In my opinion, the fight and everything else juicy on the show is instigated by Executive Producer Shaunie O’Neal. Evelyn felt very guilty after a teary eyed Tami confessed that she looked up to Evelyn and hoped to someday get back to her glory just like Evelyn. Thats when Evelyn couldnt take it anymore and confessed to Shaunie. Of course, Shaunie seized the opportunity to have a ratings bonanza and cajoled Evelyn into telling Tami of her indiscretion and doing it on air of course!. Honestly, what was the point of telling Tami now? Evelyn slept with Tamis ex-hubby many, many moons ago and should have told her the moment the two of them met. And, not to mention, Tami is some kinda New York crazy!
I haven’t agreed with Tami’s actions in the past however, this beat down was understandable (for the record, RCS does not condone violence of any kind!). How could Evelyn have dated a man for six months and not know that he was married? C’mon Evelyn you know that’s bull ish! By the way, Tami won this round!
Another interesting development is the growing undertone that Jennifer and Evelyn are growing apart. Evelyn was very insensitive to Jennifers reaction to her dating Ochocinco and said she should take the stick out of her a&*. Jennifer basically felt like Evelyn was going to be taken advantage of by Ochocinco. Also, Jennifer was very sympathetic to Tami. And, Jennifer didn’t even tell her bosum buddy that she was launching a line of lip gloss. I want to see how this develops in Season 3.
