After four months, Top Chef’s Season 11 finally comes down to tonight’s episode (10 p.m., Bravo), in which the Caribbean’s own Nina Compton (St. Lucia) will compete against Nicholas Elmi in Hawaii, the exotic locale showcased last week.
Nina has been a “threat” from the very beginning as she won challenge after challenge. Tune in tonight to see if Nina Compton brings home the “Top Chef” title at 10PM on Bravo TV. In the meantime, here’s Nina’s winning “SPAM” recipe from last week’s show.
Breadfruit and Teriyaki Spam Croquette with Sour Orange and Mango Slaw
Chef: Nina Compton
Ingredients
- 1 breadfruit (peeled and pureed)
2 oz. Teriyaki Spam (pureed)
2 eggs, beaten
2 oz. flour
2 oz. panko
¼ tsp. Sriracha
5 oz. mayo
1 basil leaf
2 oranges (juiced)
Directions
Broth Method:
- Mix the Spam with ginger, forming balls
- Take the breadfruit and cover the spam completely then roll into balls
- Dip balls in egg and with panko and fry until golden brown
