With the announcement of Royal Caribbean’s new homeport in Barbados, Soca on the Seas has wasted no time in organizing a grand Caribbean cruise for 2022.
Soca on the Seas – Ultimate Caribbean Escape Edition will sail from Barbados to six islands.
It is the first time the party brand will sail the southern Caribbean since its inception.
The sail dates are April 3 to April 10, 2022, aboard the Grandeur of the Seas ship. In addition to the benefit of the sailings, patrons will enjoy onshore events in some destinations.
Soca on the Seas and its partners Dynasty Entertainment, Soca Tribes, TriniFly Promotions, D’Ultimate Sting and Ansura Vacations will host a pre-cruise beach party in Barbados, Jab J’ouvert in Grenada and day parties in Trinidad, St Vincent and Dominica.
Soca on the Seas was forced to cancel its last trips to Asia and Mexico following the worldwide restrictions that went into effect due to COVID-19 pandemic last year.
Juliana Fermin, the woman behind the brand, said when the trips were cancelled, some passengers received a refund while others received Royal Caribbean Future Cruise credit which is valid through April 2022.
She said while the credit for the Asian cruise land events cannot apply to the Caribbean, the remaining credit can be applied.
“This is our coming home. When we first started in 2016 the concern was that we weren’t sailing to Trinidad so it is with great pleasure the SOS team is excited and elated that we can come home and once we come home we want the locals to enjoy an SOS experience in Trinidad, Dominica, Grenada and Barbados. The team is excited,” she said, expressing optimism about the success of the sailing.
She expressed confidence in Royal Caribbean’s COVID-19 protocols and their Cruise with Confidence policies that allows you to cancel any cruise that sets sail from now through April 30, 2022, once bookings are made by January 31, 2021.
Cabin Rates per person for SOS ranges from US$869 to $1528 plus gratuities and booking fees.
Fermin said the best part about the experience is that no visas are required.
