The Red Carpet Shelley team was invited to the Caribbean Fever Irie Jamboree Press Party held at the Milk River in Brooklyn on Thursday August 8, 2013. The event represented the official launch of the Caribbean Fever Irie Jamboree 3 day Music Festival to be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York over the Labor Day weekend.
The first night of the Festival, International Night August 30, will feature international bands Kassav formed in Paris with members from Martinique Tabou Combo, Djakout#1 and headliner Wyclef Jean hailing from Haiti Wyclef (pronounced WeeClef in his native Creole language!). The second night,nCarnival Mania on Saturday August 31, will showcase husband and wife former Soca Monarchs, Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons from Trinidad and Tobago, Edwin Yearwood, Alison Hinds from Barbados, Iwer George from Trinidad and Tallpree from Grenada just to name a few. The final night Sunday September 1, will showcase, Damian Marley, Capleton, the Prophet, I-Octane and as he was introduced last night the Emperor of Reggae Music Shabba Ranks.
