TVJ’s Intense was on set for the video shoot and aired behind-the-scenes footage of the video last Saturday, giving viewers worldwide a preview.

Under the direction of Jon J, the artistes linked up in Miami to shoot the official Riot video.

Jon J, who has worked with Sean Paul on other projects as well as with artistes such as Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, and a host of other superstars, was delighted to work with Damian Marley for the first time.

“Honestly, it was just an honour to be able to work with Damian. He was very humble and easy to work with. Couldn’t ask for anything else from an artiste of his stature,” said Jon J.

Having worked with Sean Paul before, Jon J added, “I feel like this time was better because I believe he trusts my vision now, and it was definitely a bigger and more fun set for him to work on”.

The popular music video director also commented on the ease of execution of the project.

“Thankfully, I really didn’t face any challenges for this particular shoot. Everything went as planned and, as always, Sean was a pleasure to work with.”

The video also features appearances from members of Ghetto Youths International, acting in cameos as they portray various messages from the song.

According to Jason Henriques, Sean Paul’s musical director, the video for Riot is eagerly being awaited by fans.

“Riot continues to blow up the airways, making inroads on global music charts. Riot is definitely a must-listen and the video will be a must-see. It adds to the anticipation building for Sean Paul’s Full Frequency album, which will also feature another Jamaican artiste, Konshens,” Jason said.

Full Frequency is expected to be released on February 18 and can be pre-ordered on iTunes.

Full Frequency will follow up Sean Paul’s Tomahawk Technique, which introduced a new style and sound from the artiste, while still delivering on his smooth-flowing dancehall lyrics.
