Over the weekend, Rihann’s beloved grandmother Ciara “Dolly” Brathwaite, died from cancer in New York City. After her passing, Rihanna tweeted:
“Goodbye grangranDolly get your beauty rest until I see you.. grangranDolly that is all”.
Aware that Gran Gran Dolly was gravely ill, Rihanna repeatedly visited her grandmother in New York over the past few months.
Chris Brown and his mother Joyce Hawkins, also took to Twitter to express their condolences:
Chris Brown tweeted: “Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN DOLLY! RIP,”
Joyce tweeted: “@rihanna angel, may God be with you and your family in your time of sorrow. Love you angel”.
Rihanna replied with the message: “@mombreezy thank you! Love u mama”. Not sure if Rihanna saw Breezy’s tweet since she recently unfollowed her ex-beau.
