On August 25, 2016, Jamaican roots reggae singer Luciano aka The Messenjah was denied entry into the United States and had his visa revoked. Luciano stated he underwent an “abnormal interrogation” which resulted in the determination that a mixture he was carrying was illegal.
The artist took to his Facebook page to let his fans know that this would affect booking obligations in the U.S. as a result:
