Rapper Common along with loads of industry folks were in Atlanta last week for the Soul Train Awards so what better time than to have an album listening party!! So, one day before his Soul Train Awards performance with Marsha Ambrosius, Common held musical court with a small group of industry execs, media, and friends gathered for the intimate listening party at Warner Bros. studio aka home of So So Def. Although Jermaine Dupri was not present at the event, Neyo, Young Jeezy and Keri Hilson came out to show their support! One of the songs previewed by Common was “Sweet”. The video for “Sweet” was shot in Haiti and dropped last week. We got the first live rendition! This my I-fficial video, click thru for the “Official” one!
The new album “The Dreamer, The Believer” doesn’t drop until December 20 but “Sweet” is now available on iTunes. Common is definitely making sure that light skinned bruthas stay on the map!
