Virgin Islanders Timothy and Theron Thomas aka R. City continue to thrive following the success of their hit song “Locked Away”. Last week, the platinum-selling duo appeared on Live with Kelly and Michael and this week they debuted their film “Whatdreamsaremadeof: A Rockumentary” at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
Additionally, R. City performed as part of the lineup for the Sundance ASCAP Music Café.
#WhatDreamsAreMadeof tracks R.City’s ascent from local island artists to being a highly-acclaimed, in-demand songwriter/producer duo. The pair have written songs for just about every A-List artist you can think of including Rihanna, Beyonce’, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Usher and many more, including their own platinum single “Locked Away” featuring Adam Levine..
The documentary is a story of triumph and perseverance. I have known and followed R. City for many years, long before all the mainstream attention. The best thing about my V.I. brothers besides their musical acumen is that they’re nice guys! And in this instance, nice guys don’t always finish last… The movie documents how R. City never gave up on themselves despite many setbacks. Who doesn’t love a story about triumph!
Filmmaker and long-time time friend Tory Edwards directed and produced the film. Keep up the great work R. City!!!
