John Paul Ataker’s collection of gowns and dresses and skirted jumpsuits left me speechless! The fabrics were silks and satins that floated across the runway effortlessly.  Romantic ruffles were an intricate part of the silhouettes on a few of the designs.  Texture, tailoring, and refinery are what come to mind when looking at the technique and details that were put into this collection.

The brand is known for its use of textiles and it was definitely executed well. The items in this line could be worn by a bride who wants an nontraditional wedding dress and definitely can grace many red carpets for the award season.  John Paul Ataker designs have been worn by many celebrities such as Taraji P. Henson, Nicky Hilton, Teyonah Taylor, Regina King and Kelly Osborne is a big fan.  They have worn his designs on multiple occasions.  I can definitely see why they are fans of the designer.

The design house was established in 1977 in Istanbul and has built a collection of work that has continued to make them successful with their couture creations.  They showcased their Fall/Winter 2016 Collection for New York Fashion Week at Chelsea Piers this season.  Here are a few of my favorites from the collection.
