K. Milele presented her Spring/Summer 16 collection last night at a disclosed trendy Chelsea location just in time for NYFW. The line was infused with lots of prints and bold colors. The assortment consisted of dresses, jumpsuits, rompers and swimwear. Her swimwear line had great works of art literally designed on the bodices. She offered dresses in several lengths that suited anyone and everyone. I found the line to be urban chic elegant for the city girl that has “IT”.
A few of Milele’s looks were styled by some of the top celebrity fashion stylist like Misha Hilton, Mike B, Memsor Kamarake, and Wouri Vice just to name a few.
K. Miele is a fashion pioneer and former designer for FUBU where she started her career. In her many years within the fashion industry, she’s has designed for celebrity collections such as Nicki Minaj Collection, Jay Z’s Rocawear and Beyoncé and Miss Tina Knowles’s House of Dereon. She most recently designed an outfit for Wendy Williams when she hosted the 2014 Soul Train Awards. This fashion presentation brought out all walks of the fashion and entertainment industries. Everyone’s favorite hottest series “Power” had “Tasha”, the actress Naturi Naughton coming out to admire the K.Milele fashion designs. As per usual music, food and cocktails intertwined with fashion made for a great evening.
The collection was a success and I hope to see it in some of my favorite retailers next spring. Take a look at some of the line as well as the evening’s festivities.
