Monami Entertainment and District Media, co-executive producers of VH1‘s “The Gossip Game,” bring you the first installation of a new dynamic debate series that sounds off on the nation’s hottest topics. GetInTheMyx.com is a weekly live stream where guests – that range from celebrities to television personalities – debate various issues as viewers weigh in LIVE via Twitter and vote for who they think makes the best argument. The website is brought to you by Myx Fusions and is powered by ooVoo and Bedloo – two amazing platforms that make the overall experience engaging and interactive. Viewers use Bedloo to vote on who they think is the winning debater while ooVoo provides the social video chat service with instant messaging.

The “Get In the Myx” discussion kicked off with the topic “Journalists vs. Bloggers.” “The Gossip Game” stars Jasmine “JasFly” Waters and Sharon Carpenter went head-to-head on the merits and drawbacks of the two types of media professionals, as accomplished writer and editor, Kazeem Famuyide (MTV, GlobalGrind.com, Complex, The Source) moderated the stream. Subsequent debates included a discussion between “The Gossip Game’s” Kim Osorio and Sharon Carpenter, moderated by BET’s Buttah Man and a conversation with “The Gossip Game’s K. Foxx and Vivian Billings, moderated by Shaheem Reid (Hip Hop Historian & Cultural Ambassador).

“‘Get In the Myx” is a fun way to capture the dialogue that already takes place 24-7 in social media,” says Mona Scott-Young, CEO of Monami Entertainment. “We’re bringing together compelling individuals and engaging topics to create a place where viewers can be heard and ideas can be exchanged. When smart ideas and smart people come together, the possibilities are endless.”
