Earlier this week, the nominees for the The Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards were announced. Among the nominations is the Award for Best Reggae. This year’s nominees are:

Unfortunately, the MOBO Awards decided to disqualify Jah Cure (nee Siccature Alcock) after learning of his conviction and imprisonment for rape, gun possession and robbery.
The ceremony, which recognises music of black origin in the UK, will be hosted by Jason Derulo on October 5 in Glasgow. Full list of nominees
