Recently, Mavado and the Gully crew have been touring all over Canada. Toward the end of the tour, rumors were flying that Mavado had been robbed at gun point. Mavado’s manager, Julian Jones-Griffith has cleared up any speculation. Jones-Griffith was the one robbed and he has since regained his stolen laptop and cellphone.
Reportedly, the perps pulled the gun because Jones-Griffith refused to look at their website while visiting with Mavada et. al. According to the Jamaican Star, Jones-Griffith said “I didn’t want to say what really happened until I got back my things. It was some little wannabe rapper dude who came to the studio to meet with Mavado and got upset when he walked in and didn’t say hello to them. Then they wanted to meet me and came outside to the truck and were begging me to look on their website but I was working on my laptop so the dude got frustrated and started telling me we were in his city, and pop off a gun. He was like ‘yo, I said log on to my website‘ And I was like, ‘wah kinda gunman this a stick me up fi look pon him website’.” Not long after, Julian-Griffith did see the website and guess who was post up on the site? Not too bright to rob somebody because they didn’t look at your website and then have your picture on the same website!! File this one under Stupid Criminals Gone Bad,
