The ‘Wotless’ Caribbean soca pop group Kes The Band will chip down the road over to Wingate Park in Brooklyn, New York tomorrow Monday, August 5th 7:30pm. This concert is a part of the MLK Concert series organized by our beloved Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz which happens every summer. The best part is that it’s all FREE!! The city is in high expectation to hear the celebrated family band perform. They will share the stage with another family band Morgan Heritage and the Mighty Sparrow.
Kes’s unique blend of soulful vocals and calypso-inspired melodies, over a fusion of rock riffs and island beats, hints of soca and reggae, can best be described as Caribbean Pop. This style has elevated Kes to stardom, allowing the band to become a household name in Trinidad & Tobago and throughout the Caribbean circuit including Miami, New York, Los Angeles, but also garnering attention from the mainstream market, where they consistently win over audiences with their electric and high-energy performances!
